| Remote Access | |||
Remote Access, also called Remote Management, allows administrators to configure and troubleshoot your Router by connecting to it from the Internet. You may need to enable Remote Access to allow a support person to help if you have a problem. If your Router is functioning properly, you should leave Remote Access disabled for security reasons. Password: The remote access user will need this password to log on to the Router. It is case sensitive. You can manually disable it, before the timeout period ends, by clicking the "Disable" button, or by restarting the Router. Enable Permanent Remote Management: This features enables permanent remote management of your Router. Inactivity Timeout: This determines whether remote access will timeout after 20 minutes of inactivity, or if remote access never times out. |
